The Rochester Hills Museum is located in historic Stony Creek Village and includes the 1840 Van Hoosen Farmhouse, the 1927 Dairy Barn, the 1850 Red House, the Stoney Creek Schoolhouse, and 16 acres of landscaped grounds bordered by Stony Creek
Our Mission Statement:
Becasue appreciation of the Present is enhanced by understanding the Past, the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm interprets, preserves and collects the history of the Greater Rochester Area for Present and Future Generations.
** The Museum DOES NOT have scheduled Open Hours in January and February!** Please call us if you would like to schedule a tour!
Open Hours for the Museum are Friday - Saturday from 1-4 pm
Self-guided Tours of the Dairy Barn go from 1-4 pm which includes our permenant exhibits A Lively Town: The History of the Greater Rochester Area 1817-1952 and The Greater Rochester Area Hall-of-Fame as well as any temporary exhibits.
Guided Tours of the Farmhouse begin at 1:30 pm and 3 pm
Guided Tours of the Red House begin at 2:30 pm
** Museum Store is open Friday-Saturday 1-4pm or by appointment **
The Museum is normally staffed Tuesday - Saturday, 9 am - 4 pm
